Look, first of all: I HATE DONGLES. These are the steps I recommend to
solve this problem.
1. Purchase LW 3.5 (be legal!)
2. Acquire a pirated version of LW 3.5 w/o the dongle problem. I can't
tell you where to get it. I'm sure it is available somewhere. Everyone
knows at least one shady character at a user group.
3. Use this version of LW the way GOD (if there IS a GOD) intended it
to be used: Dongle-less.
BTW, I still use LW3.0, so I don't have the problem. :-)
Ciao, Enrique G.

Hi... what kind of experiences do you have trying to hook a parnet cable
to the lightwave 3.5 dongle's passthru? I have heard this may or may not
work due to the dongle passing or not passing thru the pins properly.
Thanks, Harv harv@cup.portal.com
Harv,
>From what I've gleaned from folks talking about this on the NewTek BBS,
there is now software called SerNet, which uses the serial port for
transfers. That shareware is available on NewTek's board, and avoids
the dongular headaches :). I've heard that the the LWSA dongle will
NOT allow ParNet to work properly.
May all your surfaces be normal!
